try again aluminium foil

aluminiumfoil這個物料我很喜歡,因為它的痕跡及反光面給人一種很堅固的感覺實際上卻是很容易給distorted的。

Ghost, Kader Attia, 2007 Aluminum foil, dimensions variable

Attia的ghost,把aluminium拿捏得到位,亦把這物料與主題的緊緊相扣。不用說ghost,也能感受到在這麼一個房裡,有著那麼多alumium人的的悚懼。

  1. I appreciate that you found a faster and simpler way to mold yourself. I think it is interesting that the body parts fell apart and you invite people to touch the body parts, then the body parts will be distorted. It can be sad.
I would like to know more about your thinking of this project. Why did you choose certain body parts? Do they have certain kind of significance? Can the body parts have certain kind of gesture? Can it be more details? How the audience needs to touch those body parts? What kind of meaning that you want to convey?

  2. I like the material too. it is quite easy and light to carry.

i think if you want to have interactive with the audience, you can try ask them to exchange their body part with ur work. for example, I can take out one of your foil body part and use it to mold myself then put it back to the orginal place.then "your" body part will become "our" bodies.

This more violence and sadness to a person's body because the audience is not just distorying it but also try to change the orginal body without asking permission. very rude behaviour, but we always like to do that. just like some rich patients will use money to buy some illegal organs from others.
